Just long enough to miss him fiercely, just long enough to devolve into solitary habits of lounging on a sofa and flicking through some kind of holographic puzzle meant to stand in for encrypted locks. When word comes that Sam's made it back his feet carry him to the locker room and, inevitably, to the bench where he sits.
